Removals cost:

 

How to get the quote?

The removal cost depends on the distance you are moving and the amount of the household stuff you have. 

There are three ways you can supply this information:

E-mail it to us using an inventory form, which you can download by following the link

Arrange for someone to visit your property and give you the quote in person


Packing:

 

Where can I get the packing materials?

We can supply you with the packing materials. You will be charged just for the cost of the packing materials. We will refund this amount when we collect our boxes back. Alternatively you can purchase the packing materials from our on-line shop.

Will you deliver packing materials?

Yes. We will deliver your packing materials as soon as you confirm your moving date with us.

Will you collect the boxes?

Yes, as soon as you unpack them, we will collect the boxes and will refund the deposit you've paid.

Will you do packing for me?

We can provide a Full packing service for the additional charge. One or two days before the actual move we do packing.


Legal Arrangements:

 

Do you have a Contract?

Yes, we do.

You have to sign and return it. You can find your copy here by following the link removal contract.

Do you have Terms and Conditions?

Yes, we do. You can download your copy by following the link.

Do you take the deposit?

No, we don't.

What Insurances do you have?

Goods in Transit and Public Liability insurances. If you require an insurance for something specific, we can arrange this for you.

Can you provide storage?

Yes. We can recommend local  storage facilities.


On your moving day :

 

What time the removal team arrives?

9am if otherwise isn't agreed.

What do you provide?

  • manpower
  • removal vehicle(s)
  • protecting the furniture
  • disassembling and assembling service
  • un-plumbing and plumbing appliances

Will you protect my furniture?

We use stretch film to protect soft furniture and cardboard to protect glass and wooden surfaces.

Do I need to take apart large furniture?

You can, but we can do it for you on the moving day.

Can you pack my fragile items?

Yes, we can for the additional charge.

Do I need to empty chests of drawers?

You can leave them full. But make sure they are strong enough to support their own weight.

Can you empty my old house by 1 pm?

Yes. For the larger houses we do all the preparations one day in advance.


Payment and Feedback:

 

When do you take the payment?

You must pay on the removal day after the move is complete.

Changing Address

Don't forget to notify your Doctors, Dentists, Insurance Companies, BT, Council, TV Licensing, Utility Providers, Banks, Solicitors, DVLA, and mobile telephone providers. For more information please visit Valuation Office Agency

It is important to re-direct your mail. This can be arranged at the Post Office or on their web site.

Children

Young children are always exited about moving. To keep them busy, pack their favourite toys/books into one clearly marked box for an easy access.

Documents and Valuables

Make sure that your personal belongings, valuables and documents are in the safe place with you on the removal day.

Mobile Phones

Remember to charge your mobile phone to stay in touch with the removal team on the day to ensure your moving runs smoothly.

Kitchen

Empty and defrost your Fridges/Freezers. Put your food into plastic bags or plastic containers.

Parking

Make sure you have arranged parking permits for the removal vans with the Council if required. They usually need good notice.

Packing

Start your packing as soon as possible. Mark your boxes ( bedroom 1,2, kitchen, loft, etc) and mark if the content is fragile.
